3D-ConTourNet Workshop: Results from Short-Term Scientific Missions
As part of the COST Action IC1105 3D-ConTourNet, a number of Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) have taken place with the aim to promote research collaboration through exchange visits between European research institutions. As results of those STSMs, new techniques have been developed and new results obtained also based on using the unique research environment and instruments at the host institutions.
The purpose of this workshop is to gather together the STSM grantees and to provide them with a tribune to present their excellent research achievements. It should also support the community spirit among those researchers working on 3D content creation, coding and user experience, and facilitate further discussions and future collaboration.
Specific topics of interest
We invite submissions from the STSM grantees and their fellows, summarizing results from the collaborative research initiated during the STSMs. As the workshop title suggests, the submission should fit also into the scope of the 3DTV Conference and address problems related with 3D content creation, coding and user experience.
The submitted papers will undergo the regular peer-review process meant for papers submitted to 3DTV-CON 2015 and accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings to be archived in the IEEExplore Digital Library.
In case there will be no sufficient papers for a workshop setting, the accepted papers will be rescheduled to the regular and special sessions of the conference.
